You May Be Astonished At The Answers!!!

Hmmmmm...What is this? If you guessed winter wheat berries you were right. These are the seeds that are used to sprout and grow wheatgrass.

What is that red thing in the picture? It's a raw red beet! Some beets also come in a golden color.
Juice straight or add goodies to taste like carrots, apples, or beets. Beets as well as many other foods contain a large amount of sugar. Well, if your body can tolerate sugar, beets is a great tasty addition. Some avid juicers don't like to mix vegetables with fruits. You can do as you like.

Adding carrots and or beets really makes it taste great! Juicing is eating a raw food and the phytonutrients you get in uncooked foods are fantastic.

A favorite family activity. Mmmmmmmmmmm.... and nutritious too!!!!
Growing Wheatgrass

Nope, it not a sod lawn although it look something like one.

It takes only 8-10 days from day 1 till harvest day. Thats All!!!
You can get organic soil in bags almost anywhere. If you look around a little you might even be able get organic soil from a local nursery or even some rock quarries stock carry it and you'll save some cost along the way. One of the best ways to get organic soil is to make it yourself by adding a compost bin or two. And you'll never have to drive anywhere to get it. It'll always be right in your back yard. The process is so easy and one of the least expensive and most environmentally friendly ways to go!

Pictured here plugged into a standard a/c outlet a timer comes in handy for automation. Just water now and then. If you are looking to get off the grid at little at a time this is one way to go. One room at a time is a straightforward plan. If you pick low wattage grow bulbs the amount of electricity that you'll use for a day would be able to be stored in a small battery bank - perhaps two 6 volt 110AH golf cart batteries (in series) just like the ones pictured here (in the left hand column under charging station. A solar panel, a battery, and a charge controller and away you go. Of course then you'd need a low voltage (perhaps 12 volts) timer and grow bulb.

Anyone can do it, really, promise!! Requires no green thumb... just a indoor grow light!!!

Overlapping the planting by 5 days brings in one continuous crop all year long.
Other Great Things to Juice

Fresh cut greens are delicious to juice and full of phytonutrients.
You can also get raw uncooked nuts, if you are lucky you may even find bulk organic nuts. While you can't juice them in the traditional sense, you can use the Green Life juicer to make you a very fresh and tasty peanut butter. If you find them in the bin the labeling on the bin or on the package usually will tell you whether the nuts are raw or have been cooked. This Green Life juicer also makes super tasty peanut, cashew or any nut butter for that matter, which is another raw food. So long as the nuts have not been cooked or radiated the phytonutrients are sure to still be in there. As another note on ingredients, if you notice how much salt is in many commercially available peanut butters and you are trying to reduce salt, you may want to make your own peanut butter. Then you only get as much salt as nature puts in. It's so easy and you can even reuse your own peanut butter jars, another of the many benefits of making your own.
Buying in Bulk
Buying in bulk also reduces eliminates needing packaging and one of the best ways of recycling is by avoidance. By leaving the packaging on the shelf and buying bulk you avoid the need for packaging. Also, it is almost always less expensive to buy in bulk. Lots of supermarkets these days have a bulk foods aisle. Also, it is almost always less expensive to buy in bulk.
